The VPN trap — why "use a VPN" is illegal advice here

Many listicles ranking for this query tell UAE residents to install a VPN and sign up at an offshore casino. That advice is legally dangerous. Under Federal Decree-Law No. 34 of 2021 (Cybercrime), using a VPN or other means to access prohibited content — including unlicensed gambling — is itself an offence, on top of the Decree-Law 31/2021 gambling penalties.
